What is Care & Repair?
Care & Repair is what we call our Home Improvement Agencies (HIAs). They help older people or people with disabilities of any age to find the best answer to their housing needs and to live in greater comfort and security in their own homes.
We work with homeowners and private tenants over the age of 60 who need advice on getting their homes adapted or repaired. Our service is also for people of any age who have a disability and need help to have their homes adapted. Staff provide advice, information and help with the entire process of deciding what work is required, helping to arrange finance and organising the building work itself.
We also run low-cost Handyperson Services which are available to anyone over the age of 60 and anyone with a disability, regardless of tenure. Handypersons can help with a whole range of little odd jobs around the house, minor repairs and adaptations.
