Adapting homes for disabled people

Helping you remain independent in your own home

Helping you remain in your own homeWhat are Adaptations?

We want to help you remain in your own home for as long as it is good for your health and well-being, and we recognise that a number of our tenants need to have their homes adapted to help them stay independent. There are a number of adaptations and alterations we can make to your home to help make your everyday tasks easier and enable you to be as independent as possible. Some adaptations are relatively minor, such as putting up grab rails, installing lever taps in kitchens and bathrooms or fitting stair handrails. Others are relatively major, such as installing level access showers.

If you would like to know more about our adaptations service, or require an adaptation to your home, please contact your local office
