Information for leaseholders

Welcome to the leasehold section of the website. In this section you will find information about leasehold ownership including the leaseholder handbook.

Leaseholders are owners who have purchased a flat or maisonette from Tor Homes or from South Hams District Council (if they bought before 22 March 1999) under the Right to Buy or Right to Acquire schemes. Other owners became leaseholders when they purchased a flat that was originally sold under the Right to Buy or Right to Acquire schemes.

Tor Homes is the freeholder which means we own the building and are responsible for maintaining the exterior, structure and communal areas. Each leaseholder is responsible for the interior of their property.
