The government’s Respect campaign aims to ensure that local agencies tackle unacceptable behaviour and its causes to improve quality of life for residents.
It is important to our tenants that we respond to reports of anti-social behaviour effectively. We have signed up to the Respect Standard for Housing Management which means that we will not tolerate anti-social behaviour on our estates and we will take prompt action against any perpetrator.
In our work to tackle anti-social behaviour Tor Homes has formed partnerships with a number of agencies. Click on the link below to read the Community Safety Newsletter produced by the South Devon and Dartmoor Crime and Disorder Reduction Partnership (CDRP)
Examples of action we have taken are regularly published in our newsletter, Open Door in a special “In Court” feature. Wherever possible we will try to find ways to resolve problems rather than evict tenants which is very much a last resort.
